Warning, it is LONGGGGGG, LOL

Get your mind out of the gutter!!:gosh:

The kids start back to school on Monday.  I’ve shopped off and on with them all summer trying to get their clothes ready and Katie and I have not been lucky.  We just don’t shop well together.  She is like me and loves her jeans and T’s, I have no problem with that, we just don’t shop well together, LOL.  My dilemma this summer though was that she needed some cute dresses, a couple of pair of dress paints and shirts to swap out and at least a nice pair of black and brown dress shoes…sounds easy right?  NOT!!  Anyhow, I talked her in to calling a girlfriend and going shopping.  No dress clothes BUT she did make some good purchases so I kept my mouth shut.  It saved the both of us a few tears and pulling our hair out, LOL.  She has her Sr. pictures made tomorrow and I would love to help her pick out 3 different outfits for poses but I’ll just say I’ll be happy to be able to be at the photo shoot, ROFL!!  We will more than likely buy some of those pictures but she really wants to wait until she gets her braces off (soon I hope) and have tsomem of these pictures made by someone else we know and I completly understand that. Hank isn’t hard to buy for and so that hasn’t been a worry.  All he’s worried about is wanting to grow, Bless His Heart, and NOT wanting to go to school.  He loves being home and just hanging out, no schedules, riding his bike, swimming and believe it or not he helps Randy and I out quite about around the house, inside and out.

Well…I have 3 dr.’s, my gyn., a regular GP and the dr. that handles my hormones…  had to tell you that b/c it is confusing, LOL and I’m about to tell you a story.  :::inhaling::::Ok I’ve had some pain since May, got some meds for it but a little over a month ago it has been so much worse.  So around the 11th of July I went to my GP who is easy to get in to see and he did xrays and told me I had bronchits and pleurisy, a bone spur in my neck and arthritis in my neck and that if the pain I had was still bad in a week that I probably needed an MRI.  He didn’t want to prescribe me a steriod b/c I had to have bloodwork the following Monday for my hormones and he didn’t want to mess them up.  I go in on that Monday, tell the hormone dr. about my Friday visit and she has me sign a release (I know that was the beginning of the end, LOL but I wasn’t thinking and not feeling well) to have my test results from the other dr. sent over, then sends me to have MORE xrays.  In the meantime my father goes back to the hospital.  THEN the next week while I was taking my daughter to her last cheer camp they call to tell me that I had an appt. with a neurologist for an EMG that Friday which was right before we went on vacation.  He found no nerve damage, thank goodness.  I’ve been trying ever since to get someone to get orders for an MRI.  I finally heard from the hormone Dr. this a.m. (after many calls back and forth and finally an email sent day before yesterday) and she said that the problem is Blue Cross won’t just let her send me to have an MRI that the neurologist has to order it.  WHAT I don’t understand though is why she just can’t call him and ask!!  I don’t understand this process.  I just figured once she received the results, knew I was still in pain and how much worse it has gotten that she would call the OTHER dr. up and he would order it…NOT!!  So here I sit AGAIN waiting, LOL.  I know, so many people have it worse so don’t get me wrong, I am greatful that I can afford to go to the dr. and I do have decent insurance, I’m just a little frustrated.

I’m looking forward to watching the Olympics, especially the lighting of the torch..it gives me goose bumps.  Remember when Muhammad Ali did it?  It was so touching!

I still haven’t seen the Kinsey Sicks on America’s Got Talent but I know they will be on there.  I know I have a warped sense of humor.

Well Chatty Cathy will let that be all for today, LOL.  I’ll be around to visit sometime today I hope.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Friday and weekend!!

Oh and I still don’t know how to use WP, LOL or I would post pictures.  Maybe one day I can sit down after the kids go back to school and comprehend some of it.  yeah right huh?

Summers End

August 5th, 2008

We had a great trip to the beach…

The kids were supposed to start back to school tomorrow (Wednesday) but I received a phone call last Thursday saying that it is postponed until this coming Monday.  Woohoo!  They are doing some much needed updating and construction so that delayed things a bit.

We are STILL tiling the backsplash.  LOL, we will finish one day.  It’s just hard starting and stopping when you have so many other things going on.  I did find my appliances though and they delivered everything on Sunday except my stove, which should be here sometime within the week (I hope).

Soooo what’s new with you?

Weekend

July 20th, 2008

The weekend has been busy but quiet and I am not complaining, LOL.  We finally started on our backsplash Saturday a.m. and stopped long enough for the “guys” to go to the movie (Batman) and K and I left to finish shopping for the rest of her thing she needed for cheer camp this week, her last one!  We tiled a little more that afternoon and then went to a small get together  that someone had for my sister who retired a few weeks ago.  We woke up bright eyed and bushy tailed, LOL, and we finished tiling….on one side of the kitchen that is, LOL.  We still have to seal, grout, and seal again that wall but it is tiled!!!.  We will start on the other wall probabley Tuesday night since we have to go watch K compete for All Stars tomorrow night…I’m excited and nervous for her.  It reallly hasn’t been that bad and all has gone quite well considering all the stopping and starting, LOL.

Dad was released from the hospital on Thursday.  The neurologist and heart dr. both say he did not have signs of a stroke and the heart dr. went ahead on Wednesday and shocked his heart back in to rhythm.  This procedure was already scheduled for then, so it turned out well.  They kept him one more night just to observe him and I delivered him back home about 3:30 on Thursday.  I know he was glad to be back home and so am I, LOL.  I know it has to be getting old to him having to go to the hospital…it has been 4 times in 6 weeks.

Sandy, if you read this let me know how your weather is up that way!!

I hope everyone had a wonderful and safe weekend!!

Nothing Nice to Say!

July 14th, 2008

ROFL you know the old saying if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all?  Well I’m not saying anything. :eyes:

My kids went to the ortho today and are hoping to get their braces off in the next 6 to 12 weeks.  I’m keeping my fingers and toes crossed for them both…

I can’t sleep so I got up, brought my lap top in to the den and I’m just going to cruise around the WWW.  Hey might even learn how to do something on Wordpress.  :gosh:
